Embracing the New Year: Fostering Growth and Learning
Hello Saddle Mountain Unified, Superintendent, Dr. Mike Winters here. I hope you are all having a wonderful summer. We are hard at work preparing for the 24-25 school year and working to make it the best school year yet.
We are continuing to implement our new Saddle Mountain app. If you have not downloaded the app yet, please do so prior to Meet the Teacher on Tuesday, July 30. We are working to make back-to-school as efficient as possible. Every year you typically receive a stack of papers to review and sign. This year, we’ve moved that stack of papers to the app and you and your student only need to sign once. Plus, you’ll have digital access to those documents throughout the year.
To access these documents you can either go to the SMUSD website and click the Registration tab. Or you can go to Forms in the app and complete the beginning of the year paperwork on your phone. The app truly is everything Saddle Mountain in your pocket.
Remember school starts on Thursday, August 1 this year. We are excited to see everyone back on August 1 for the start of the 24-25 school year.
If you or someone you know may be interested in joining our Saddle Mountain Unified family, please direct them to our website to submit an application or to call and talk with our HR department at 623-474-5115. We are still looking to hire three teachers for the 24-25 school year. We offer competitive salaries and benefits, teacher support, and that four day work week all within a growing district that still has a family feel to it. I hope you have an enjoyable rest of the summer and we’ll see you in August.
Dr. Mike Winters
